The rain is hovering but it hasn't deterred the visitors to The Fold market which is as bustling as ever. It may seem premature but I am in the studio getting ready for Christmas - making cards and prints. The sun is shining and I am painting snowflakes!
When I am not painting I can be found gardening and the colder weather this year seems to have extended the spring flower season and now we are just coming into the blooms of summer. The colours of the poppies are a true inspiration and who knows, they may appear in a painting some time soon!
I celebrated my birthday last week by a wonderful visit to the historic town of Bath. The highlight was a visit to Kurt Jackson's "Biodiversity" exhibition at the Victoria Gallery. It was a stunning display of my favourite thing, colour..... plus am amazing display of the beauty of the natural world. I highly recommend anyone to see the Kurt Jackson exhibition before the end of June if you can - it is well worth a visit.
Actually the real highlight was the enormous ice cream from a lovely Italian Gelateria. Nearly as big as me but I wasn't going to be beaten!!
Another Fold Market day has arrived...not the glorious sunshine we were hoping for but the British are never put off by grey skies and it has been busy and buzzing as usual. There has been a fantastic selection of edible treats as well as some beautiful creative work for sale. The gallery has been rearranged and the animals have made a welcome return and I have a lovely display of watercolours of the Malverns. So pop on over and have a chat and a browse..!
